HEAD OF STATE CIVIL SERVICE LOCKS ENTRY GATE

HEAD, STATE CIVIL SERVICE LOCKS ENTRY GATE AFTER 8AM AGAINST WORKERS

headHead of Civil Service Mrs. Ekerebong Akpan today locked out over 200 workers at state secretariat for lateness to work.

It is a general practice for most civil servants to be late to work. This could be as a result of what they stand to earn at the end of every month as salary. The low pay earnings also affects the attitude to work by State Civil Service workers all over the country.

In a chat with some of the State Civil Servants stress that the money they earn every month is never enough to take care of their immediate needs. They also emphasize that if they come early to work they wont be able to meet up their needs. While some say they need to attend to some businesses which does not strike a balance with their civil service.

Also, they say it’s high time the Government look into their wages. It is what affects their attitude to work.  At the same time, it affects productivity.

Consequently, lateness will be in check much often.

I wonder when they will sanitize the system!!.

Chukwu Endorses utility Moses for new Eagles role

Chukwu Endorses utility Moses

chukwuFormer Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu defends Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s decision to convert Victor Moses into a wing-back at the London side in a chat recently.

Nigerian winger Moses, who plays as a regular in Chelsea spent the last three seasons on loan. Since his £9m move from Wigan he has established himself as a regular at Chelsea.

Chukuwu notes that, Moses attacking and defending movements in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation helping the Blues to win matches against Hull City, Leicester City and Manchester United. He is confident Victor Moses will do same as a utility player in the Super Eagles squad.

Former  Nigeria  coach Chukwu, expresses his excitement at Moses’ rising stardom in the Premier League. He says he supports the decision that the  player replicates same for the  Super Eagles.

I wonder if this form will translate into the Super Eagles squad! where club engagement is far different from national team engagement.
