Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Extols Legacies of Former IGP Chief Etim Inyang
AKHA acknowledges the tremendous contributions of late Chief Etim Inyang to the growth of Nigeria Police Force and Akwa Ibom State.
This was the submission of the lawmakers on Tuesday plenary while paying their last respect to the former Inspector General of Police. He will be laid to rest in his home town this weekend, Ewang in Mbo L.G.A. The house in a resolution condoles with the family, the State Governor and entire Oro nation over his demise.
In tribute, Speaker AKHA Onofiok Luke says “We have on record the tremendous contributions to the growth of the Nigeria Police Force by the Great Etim Inyang. This is a loss to Nigeria, the Nigeria Police Force and Akwa Ibom.”
The Speaker Pledges the house commitment towards giving the late sage a befitting burial. Late IGP Chief Etim Inyang who joined the police force as a constable made remarkable achievements in the Nigeria Police Force.
Some of his achievements include establishment of police colleges and medical facilities for the police force around the country.
