Herdsmen on rampage at the farm of Olu Falae
People suspected to be herdsmen by the Nigerian Police have attacked the farm of Chief Olu Falae, the former secretary to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Gbenga Adeyanju made this known to Orange FM in a broadcast. He said men of the Police Force were immediately deployed to the place o f the scene as soon as the information got to him.
Chief Falae Personal Assistant, Captain Moshood Raji, said the attackers did not steal anything but burnt five hectares oil palm plantation. He said no worker was present at the time of the incidence.
Adeyanju while making an appealed said people should not panic as the issue is over exaggerated on social media.
According to Adeyanju, the Police and Falae are already in discussion on the issue while investigation is on-going to arrest the hoodlums.
Recall in September 2015, herdsmen kidnapped Chief Falae for three days before his release after President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the Inspector- General of Police to find and rescue the Elder Statesman.
Chief Falae contested the 1999 presidential election but lost to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Hmm! Could this a political attack or another attack from the Fulani herdsmen?
