Lamentations! “This is heartless and unacceptable” – Femi Fani-Kayode
Lamentations or book of lamentations according to wikipedia is a collection of poetic laments for the destruction of Jerusalem. In this case it has to do with Nigeria as Femi Fani-Kayode few days ago could not keep his cool by lamenting and expressing bitterness concerning headline stories making rounds in the media.
In reaction to the IPOB story, Fani-Kayode scrabbled “IPOB leader Nnamdi’s home was attacked, his staff, friends and supporters were maimed, his parents were brutalised, his dogs were shot, his cars were burnt and he was abducted by the Nigerian Army. This is heartless and unacceptable.”
Also on El Zak Zaky’s case, the former minister had this to say; “Sheik El Zak Zaky, the leader of Nigeria’s Shiite Muslims, was shot and blinded in one eye, dumped in a wheelbarrow and has been illegally detained against court orders by the Nigerian security services for the last 700 days. So has his wife. This is heartless and unacceptable.”
Meanwhile as if it was not enough the former minister responded to the news headline captioned “The state of education in Nigeria calls for serious concern – Buhari”. See his response;
“When a man that has a NEPA bill as his secondary school certificate and that never went to any decent school let alone university expresses concern about educational standards you know we are in trouble.”
In his statement it’s strange to conclude that the president of a country has NEPA bill as a secondary school certificate. Where he got his facts is yet a unknown. Nigerians are wondering when this this hate speech will come to end especially on the president of a country. It’s been lamentations all the way from Femi Fani-Kayode. He can’t be blamed, after all, he is simply expressing himself.
