State House Confirms Nominees into Akwa Ibom Executive Council – AKSH
State House of Assembly – Akwa Ibom State confirms 18 Commissioner Nominees and two special advisers of the state executive council.
Those who received clearance include Barr. Ekong Sampson, and Mrs. Ekemini Umoh as Special Advisers.
For the post of Commissioners are Dr. Dominic Ukpong, Mr. Monday Uko, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, Mr. Akan Okon, Dr. (Mrs) Glory Edet, Mr. Udo Ekpenyong, Mr. Ephraim Inyang Eyen, Mr. Victor Antai, Mr. Paul Alexander Udofia.
Others are Arch. Ime Ekpo, Dr. Nse Udo Essien, Mr. Nsikan Linus Nkan, Mr. Uduak Charles Udo Inyang, Mr. Charles Udo, Ho Orman Esin, Prof. Ene Ikpe and Mr. Idorenyin Sunday Udo.
The lawmakers unanimously confirm the nominees after a thorough screening which lasted for seven hours.
The Lawmakers ask questions and answers bordering on their qualifications, experiences and expertise.
The Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human rights and Public Petitions, Barr. Dennis Anefiok urging the house to clear the nominees saying they have met the constitutional requirements and found to be men and women of tested and proven integrity.

Speaker AKHA Onofiok Luke while congratulating the nominees, urge them to see this elevation as a selfless service to humanity and Akwa Ibom people, admonishing them, to bring to fore their wealth of experiences while serving the state.
Rt. Hon. Onofiok appreciated the state Governor Udom Emmanuel for selecting men of high caliber and integrity to serve in the state executive council. He further advised the commissioners and special advisers designate against using their public office for selfish purposes enjoining them to conduct their assignments in line with the laid down civil service rules.
He reiterates the need for them to have a cordial relationship with permanent secretaries in the respective ministries where they will be assigned, to ensure smooth service delivery.
